Purpose

IAMA+ connects the professionals and students of the film industry: profiles, portfolios, listings, projects, messaging.

These terms apply to the mobile app and to this website. Using them means accepting the terms.

The service is in beta: it evolves, features appear, others change.

Account

Access requires an account, created in the app with a valid email address and a verification code.

One account belongs to one person. Profile information must be accurate: the roles you work in, the training you followed, the projects you actually took part in.

You are answerable for how your account is used. Tell us about any use you did not authorise.

The service is not intended for anyone under 13 (16 in Brazil, 15 in South Korea).

Good practice

Respect people. No harassment, no insults, no hateful or discriminatory speech — in a private message as much as in a comment or a listing.

Stay professional. IAMA+ is a work tool: no mass canvassing, no advertising unrelated to film, no chain messages.

Tell the truth. A false profile, credit or listing wastes everyone’s time and damages the trust the service depends on.

Keep what circulates in a project inside that project. Scripts, schedules, budgets, contact details: what is shared in a project stays in the project.

Write listings that comply with employment law. An offer cannot rule someone out for their origin, sex, age, health, beliefs or any other protected characteristic.

Do not automate. Scraping the directory, harvesting profiles, running bot accounts: all prohibited.

Report rather than answer in kind.

What you may publish

IAMA+ hosts professional content related to film and audiovisual work.

Portfolio: photographs, video excerpts, showreels, posters, sketches, mood boards, presentation documents and CVs.

Projects: production documents — scripts, schedules, equipment lists, budgets, call sheets — and shooting media, shared with the project team.

Listings: offers of collaboration, searches for roles, equipment or locations, calls for applications from schools and training bodies.

Feed and messaging: short posts, images, videos and comments related to your work.

Accepted formats and maximum sizes are shown in the app at upload time and change as the service evolves.

Content produced or substantially altered by an artificial intelligence tool must be presented as such.

Prohibited content

The following are prohibited, without this list being exhaustive:

unlawful content, in particular content inciting hatred, violence or discrimination, glorifying terrorism, or undermining human dignity;

child sexual abuse material or content featuring minors inappropriately, which is reported immediately to the competent authorities;

pornographic or sexually explicit content, and gratuitous depictions of extreme violence;

infringing content: works, excerpts, music, typefaces, photographs or trademarks used without their holders’ permission;

third parties’ personal data published without their agreement, including contact details, images and shooting information;

defamatory, insulting, disparaging or harassing statements;

advertising unrelated to the industry, pyramid schemes, fraudulent offers and phishing attempts;

malware, booby-trapped links and any attempt against the security or integrity of the service;

false identities, invented professional credits and impersonation.

Usage limits

During the beta, each project is limited to 1 GB of data and 200 people.

These limits cover the needs of the vast majority of productions. If your project exceeds them, write to us: we look at it case by case rather than blocking.

As the ceiling approaches, you are warned in the app. No content is deleted without notice.

These thresholds may change as the service evolves; any change is announced on this page.

Your content and your rights

You remain the holder of the rights in what you publish. IAMA+ claims no ownership over your portfolio, your projects or your messages.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish, for its lawfulness and for its accuracy.

By publishing, you warrant that you hold all necessary rights and permissions: copyright and neighbouring rights in the works and excerpts shown, the agreement of co-authors and producers, image rights permission from identifiable people, permission from the owners of the places and property depicted, and the agreement of your counterparties where the content is covered by a confidentiality obligation.

Licence granted. By publishing content, you grant the publisher of the service a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, transferable to any future acquirer of the service, covering the rights of reproduction, communication to the public and adaptation of that content, worldwide and for the legal term of protection of the rights, for the sole purposes listed below.

Running the service: hosting, storing, copying for backup, transcoding, resizing, cropping and displaying the content to the people you chose to make it visible to.

Presenting and promoting the service, in particular in the form of screenshots, excerpts, thumbnails and edits, on any medium now known or later devised — website, app stores, social networks, press, printed materials, trade shows and festivals — with no limit of duration or territory.

Removing content ends any new promotional use. Materials already distributed or printed that contain it are not recalled, which you expressly accept.

Your name or pseudonym and your role may accompany these uses, under the right of attribution.

This licence in no way restricts your own exploitation of your content, nor your ability to assign it to third parties. No payment is due for these uses: they are the consideration for the service being made available free of charge.

You indemnify the publisher against any third-party claim, action or award arising from content you published, including defence costs incurred.

Reporting and removal

Any member or third party can report content they consider unlawful or contrary to these terms, from the app or through the contact form.

To be actionable, a report states the identity of its author, the exact location of the content concerned, the reason it should be removed and, where rights are invoked, evidence of their ownership.

Reports are examined as soon as possible. Manifestly unlawful content is removed without delay.

A manifestly abusive or bad-faith report engages the liability of its author.

Moderation

The publisher may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, remove content or make it invisible, restrict access to a feature, suspend or close an account, where content or behaviour breaches these terms or the law, or harms other members, third parties or the operation of the service.

These measures may be taken immediately, including as a precaution and before any thorough review. Their application gives rise to no compensation.

The member concerned is informed of the measure and of its reasons, and may contest it through the contact form; the decision is then reviewed again. This information may be deferred where the law so requires, in particular during an investigation.

Status of the publisher

In respect of content published by members, the publisher acts as a host within the meaning of French law on confidence in the digital economy. It is under no general obligation to monitor and carries out no prior review.

It cannot be held liable for content it did not create, provided it acts promptly to remove it once it has actual knowledge of it.

IAMA+ puts people in touch: it is not party to the agreements reached between members and guarantees neither the skills declared, nor the reality of the projects announced, nor the proper performance of any work. Check who you are dealing with and put things in writing, as in any professional setting.

Availability and beta

IAMA+ is free throughout the beta phase, with no time limit. Should a paid plan appear, it will be announced in advance and will not apply retroactively.

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability: maintenance, outages, changes. Backups are taken, but keep a copy of your important media — that holds for any service.

Ending use

You can stop using IAMA+ whenever you want.

Account deletion is requested through the contact form; it is carried out within 30 days, along with the associated content. Messages already received by other members and mentions in shared projects may remain.

Legal retention obligations apply where relevant.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the service does. Any change is published on this page; continuing to use IAMA+ after a change means accepting it.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
